Changing an SQL Anywhere Port

If the default port for the SQL Anywhere database is being used by another application, change the port number, to avoid a port conflict.

  1. Shut down the SQL Anywhere database.
  2. Open the appropriate start scripts and edit the port number:
    Platform Script
    Windows <installation directory>\SCS\ASA\startSC55Runtime_asa.bat
    UNIX <installation directory>/SCS/ASA/startSC55Runtime_asa.sh
  3. Start the SQL Anywhere database.
