Using a Default Connection Profile

The default connection profiles provide a quick way to start working in Sybase WorkSpace.

If you installed Sybase Developer Edition Servers, a set of fully configured connection profiles is available in the Enterprise Explorer view.

You can create connection profiles for all of the server types in the Enterprise Explorer. See Creating a Connection Profile for additional information.

  1. Start the server.
    Note: If you are using the MyDatabase default connection profile and want to later create a SOAP Web service from a stored procedure, you can have http support on the default database, by starting any script, such as <installation directory>\Sybase\WorkSpace\DevRuntimes\ASA\startWebDemo.bat.
  2. In the Enterprise Explorer, right-click the default connection profile you want to use and select Connect.
  3. Choose from the following:
