When WorkSpace Data Federation is connected to a Data Federation domain, you can use
Enterprise Explorer to browse the domain’s data catalog for relational and nonrelational input sources.
By selecting items and right-clicking for a context menu, you can also use the Enterprise Explorer to:
- Connect WorkSpace Data Federation to a grid domain controller in order to access its domain’s data catalog.

Display information about items in the catalog,
including their type (such as
data service or
database operation), qualified name, SQL statement
(for a database operation), parameters, data expiration for caching, and run-as
user.
- Launch wizards to create database connectors, database operations, virtual database operations, and SQL views.
- Delete items from the data catalog.

Add and delete categories in the data catalog.

Assign objects in the data catalog to
categories.
- Modify access control lists for items in the data catalog.
- Modify the attributes of items in the data catalog.

Refresh the display of the data catalog to
pick up changes such as new categories, data services, or database operations.
