Creating a Role

Create a logical role to provide security to mobile business objects (MBOs) and MBO operations during development.

1. Right-click the Roles folder and select New.
2. Specify:

   Field	Description
   Name	Enter a unique name for the new role.
   Description	(Optional) Enter a description for the role.

3. Click Finish.

• Roles
  Logical roles provide authorization for mobile business objects during development and physical roles control the access to back-end data sources during runtime.
• Modifying Logical Role Properties
  Modify the name and description of a role.
• Assigning a Role to Mobile Business Objects and Operations
  Assign logical roles to mobile business objects and operations using the Properties window.
• Deleting a Logical Role
  Delete a logical role from the Roles folder.
