Navigating the Device Application

The device applications in these examples use the standard BlackBerry navigation model.

1. From the main menu, access the device application menu by clicking the menu key button.
2. Your application may support these and other operations:

   Option	Description
   About	Shows the device application information and the version.
   Login	Log in to the application.
   Logs	Access transaction logs.
   Pending Operations	Display the pending operations
   Personalization	Personalize values for personalization keys.
   Profile	Configure settings for connecting to Unwired Server.
   Push Settings	Configure push synchronization settings for downloading and updating data.
   Screen Saver	Enable the screen saver, set the idle time, lock the client immediately.
   Search	Search the device application
   Synchronize	Synchronize the device application.

• Sorting Data
  Device application data is displayed in tables; you can sort each column in ascending or descending order.
• Moving Between List and Detail Views
  The list view includes a list of records in grid format, and the detail view includes detailed data for a selected record.
• Inserting a Record
  Insert a new record, then synchronize to upload the data to Unwired Server.
• Updating a Record
  Update a record, then synchronize the mobile business object to upload the data to Unwired Server.
• Deleting a Record
  Delete a record, then synchronize to upload the request to Unwired Server.
• Viewing Pending Operations
  Use a pending operations stock screen in your device application design so that you can view pending operations for selected records.
• Viewing Logs
  View a log of records that have been created, updated, and deleted. This is useful for verification and troubleshooting.
