Editing an Event

Edit an event to change the parameters, permissions, or other properties.

Prerequisites

Before you can edit an event, be sure the data server that contains the event is running, and you created and established a connection to the data server.

In Enterprise Explorer, under the database connection profile, expand the tree for a database.
Under the Events folder, right-click the event you want to edit, and select Edit.

Edit the event properties.

Editor Tab	Description
General	Change the event Name. Change to description in the Comment field. Select Disable Event Handler to stop the event handler from executing when the scheduled time or triggering condition occurs. Change the Execution Location. All – the default value. All databases execute the event. Consolidated – restricts the databases at which an event is handled. Remote – restricts to remote sites the databases at which an event is handled. Select a trigger type: Manual – triggered manually. Schedule – triggered according to a time schedule. Condition – triggered if it satisfies a condition. For Schedule, use Add, Edit, and Delete to enter the start date, start time, and repeating behavior for the trigger. For Condition, select a system event and specify a corresponding name, operator, value, and unit for the condition.

DDL	View the DDL for the event (read-only).

Select File > Save from the main WorkSpace menu.
