Known Issues for Installation and Configuration

Descriptions of known issues and workarounds for SAP Sybase IQ installation.

Installer issues
CR#	Description
690399	Running uninstall.exe in silent mode may lead to installation problems – Running uninstall.exe in silent mode is an undocumented uninstallation option: `uninstall.exe -i silent` The uninstaller does not echo any response in this mode. The lack of user-interaction can lead to unanticipated problems. Workaround – Uninstall from the Control Panel. See the Installation and Configuration Guide for details.
650505	Problems running the installer from a remote directory – Running the 15.4 installer from a remote directory may not install the MSVC++ setup files properly and the installation will fail. Workaround – Manually run the MSVC++ setup files and map the remote directory to a drive letter.
641873, 652690, 652696, 652866, 643106	Do not install SAP Sybase IQ16.0 into the same directory as older Sybase products – Installing Sybase SAP Sybase IQ16.0 into the same directory with older SAP Sybase Products may render some or all of these products unusable. Workaround – Install SAP Sybase IQ16.0 into a different directory than the one you use for older products. Do not uninstall any of the products installed into the same directory.
