Sybase IQ 15.2 uses InstallShield for installation and uninstallation procedures, while Adaptive Server® Enterprise 15.5 uses InstallAnywhere. InstallAnywhere cannot locate products installed by InstallShield. As a result, uninstalling Adaptive Server Enterprise 15.5 also removes Sybase Central files.
Workarounds:
Do not uninstall Sybase Central when uninstalling Adaptive Server, or
Perform these two steps:
Before you uninstall Adaptive Server Enterprise 15.5, back up the file C:\Sybase\shared\JavaHelp-2_0\jh.jar and
After you uninstall Adaptive Server Enterprise 15.5, copy the backed up jh.jar to C:\Sybase\shared\JavaHelp-2_0, or
Reinstall Sybase Central.
