Enabling or Disabling Event Logging Using sp

You can enable SAP ASE message storage in the Windows event log by using sp_configure to set the event logging configuration parameter.

Possible values are:

1 – enable logging of SAP ASE messages:
```
sp_configure "event logging", 1
```
0 – disable logging of SAP ASE messages:
```
sp_configure "event logging", 0
```

Note: Restart SAP ASE after enabling logging with sp_configure; disabling does not require a server restart.
