Starting Server Config

Use Server Config to configure SAP ASE.

  1. Start Server Config from either the Windows Start menu or from the Windows command prompt:
    • Select Start > Programs > SAP > Adpative Server > Server Config, or,
    • From the Windows command prompt, run syconfig.exe and enter:
      -c SAP ASE configuration file

      Specify TCP for the connection protocol and host, port for the connection value.

      Note: Ensure that your input values are correct in the command prompt, otherwise syconfig may exit without displaying an error. If this happens, view the log file at: $SAP\$ASE\init\.
  2. When you complete the necessary configuration changes, click Exit.
