Creating a Replication Agent Instance Using Administrator

Use the Administrator GUI to create a Replication Agent instance.

1. Select an instance type:

   • oracle

   • mssql

   • ibmudb

2. Enter a unique instance name.
   

   The default instance name is repagent.

3. Enter a client socket port number that is not assigned to any other application on the machine for the administration port of the new Replication Agent instance. For Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, be sure that a second port, port_num+1, is available for the RASD.

   The default client socket port number is 10000.

4. Click Create.

   The instance appears in the List of Instances. The status under Running is no.

5. Click Done to exit the Administrator GUI window.
