Each
BPM
is linked to a definition file that extends the standard PowerDesigner metamodel to provide objects, properties, data types, and generation parameters and templates specific to the language being modeled. Definition files and other resource files are XML files located in the Resource Files directory inside your installation directory, and can be opened and edited in the PowerDesigner Resource Editor.
Warning! The resource files provided with
PowerDesigner inside the Program Files folder cannot be modified
directly. To create a copy for editing, use the New tool on the
resource file list, and save it in another location. To include resource files from
different locations for use in your models, use the Path tool on
the resource file list.

Note:
Some resource files are delivered with "Not Certified" in their names. Sybase® will perform all possible validation checks, however Sybase does not maintain specific environments to fully certify these resource files. Sybase will support the definition by accepting bug reports and will provide fixes as per standard policy, with the exception that there will be no final environmental validation of the fix. Users are invited to assist Sybase by testing fixes of the definition provided by Sybase and report any continuing inconsistencies.
