Synonym name and code maximum length |
The synonym name and code length is limited by the maximum length specified in the DBMS definition (MaxLen entry, in the category) and in the naming conventions of the model options.

Existence of the base object |
A synonym must correspond to a model object. By default, when you create synonyms from the List of Synonyms using the Add a Row tool, they are not attached to any base object.
