You can copy a column from one table and add it to another table. If the table already contains a column with the same name or code as the copied column, the copied column is renamed.
Note: To copy a column from one table symbol to another, select the column in the table symbol, right-click and hold while dragging the column to over the second table symbol, then release and select Copy Here.
- Double-click a table to open its property sheet, and click the Columns tab.
- Click the Add Columns tool to open a selection box listing the columns attached to all other tables in the model.
- Select one or more columns in the list and then click OK.
The copied columns appear in the list of columns for the current table.
- Click OK.
