A Web server redirector plug-in enables communication between a third-party Web server and an EAServer HTTP or HTTPS listener. A redirector plug-in forwards requests that need to access servlets, JSPs, and so on, to EAServer. EAServer processes the requests and returns the results back to the Web server. You can also use a redirector plug-in to implement load balancing and failover. EAServer includes redirector plug-ins for a number of Web servers, such as Apache and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
