Setting up databases for a warm standby application involves three high-level tasks. Each of these tasks may include additional tasks.
Create a single logical connection to be used by both the active and standby databases.
Use the Replication Server create connection command to add the active database to the replication system. You need not add the active database if it has already been added to the replication system.
Use the Replication Server create connection command to add the standby database to the replication system.
