DB2 caching option allows the DB2 UDB Option to use DB2 caching by converting all constants in a SQL language statement to host variables. DB2 uses a cached DBRM for any SQL statements that exactly match a cached statement. This results in more CPU usage in the DB2 UDB Option but less in DB2 UDB. The DB2 caching option parameter has these settings:
YES converts all constants in SQL language statements to host variables.
NO leaves SQL language statements as they are.
