You can set connection properties in Open Client applications to request a security mechanism’s services. Client-Library determines which security mechanism and services to use on the connection as follows:
If the client application names a security driver, Client-Library checks in libtcl.cfg for a matching driver and loads that driver.
If the client application does not name a security driver, Client-Library loads the first security driver listed in libtcl.cfg.
If libtcl.cfg does not list a security driver, the server authenticates the user if the user supplies the correct password.
