The connect handler for ECDA Option for Oracle creates Open Server threads and connects to Oracle on behalf of the Adaptive Server user.
Adaptive Server supplies the user name and password, and it also passes a server name for each login request. This server name must appear in the configuration file to ensure that the correct connect string is used. The connect string defines the target database location. The ECDA Option for Oracle logs in to the Oracle database and remains connected.
