Verifying the Prerequisites for the Reference Environment

There are several prerequisites for the reference environment.

The reference implementation procedure uses the interfaces file in the SAP Replication Server release directory. If the file exists before you run the reference implementation procedure, the procedure backs up the existing file by incrementing the file name extension.

  1. Verify that the environment variable settings in the SYBASE.sh file in the SAP Replication Server or SAP ASE release directory is correct. If you cannot verify this, remove or rename the file.
  2. Verify that you have the UNIX grep, kill, awk, and ps commands available in your bash shell.
