Each master port has one network listener. Generally, there is no need to have multiple master ports, unless your SAP ASE must communicate over more than one network type. Some platforms support both socket and TLI (Transport Layer Interface) network interfaces (SAP ASE does not support the TLI interface in threaded mode).
