Sybase IQ depends on some redistributable libraries included with IBM XL C/C++ V9.0 and higher. If you are using an XL C/C++ compiler that is less than version 9.0, you must update your environment to install and support these libraries.
Installing the IBM XL C/C++ redistributable
libraries
Download and install the appropriate XL C/C++ compiler for your AIX distributtion (V9.0 or higher). This update is available at "Latest updates for supported IBM C and C++ compilers"
Download and install the C++ Runtime Environment package for AIX. This package is a compressed file named xlcpp.rte.9.0.0.aix.base.tar.Z. This package is available at "IBM XL C/C++ Enterprise Edition for AIX, V9.0 Runtime Environment and Utilities".
Download and install the Utilities package for AIX. This package is a compressed file named xlcpp.util.9.0.0.aix.base.tar.Z. This package is available at "IBM XL C/C++ Enterprise Edition for AIX, V9.0 Runtime Environment and Utilities".
