If an Adaptive Server is not responding, it may be busy or it may have crashed. Take the following steps:
Check the Adaptive Server error log for any error messages. See the Adaptive Server Enterprise Troubleshooting and Error Messages Guide for more information.
ping the Adaptive Server host from the OpenSwitch host machine to verify that the network is operational.
Try to connect to the Adaptive Server using a regular isql connection to verify that the server is running and accepting connections.
If an Adaptive Server is not running, OpenSwitch fails over all client connections to the next available server in the server pool.
