Installing in GUI Mode

Use this option to set up your software in a graphic user interface (GUI) environment. The GUI installer is wizard-driven and supports all product editions and installation types.

Prerequisites

If you are installing the LinuxAMD64 image on a Red Hat 5.x machine, you must remount the DVD/CD drive to set the appropriate permissions for the installer to run properly.

Task

Insert the installation media into the DVD/CD drive.
To install the LinuxAMD64 image on a Red Hat 5.x machine:
1. Click Cancel to stop the installer.
2. Enter one of these commands to remount the drive:
  - mount -t iso9660 /dev/hda /mnt/cdrom
  - mount -o exec /dev/cdrom /media
Start the installer:
If the Sybase IQ installer does not start automatically, enter:
```
<DVD_mount_directory>/setup.bin
```
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Unmount, if necessary, and remove the installation media from the drive.
