Complete the prerequisites for developing a device application for the
iOS platform, and set up the development environment.
Prerequisites
- Verify that SAP Mobile Platform Server 3.0
is installed, and that you can access it from your Mac.
- To access the data from the backend, set up a Gateway OData service.
- Configure the Gateway URL in the SAP Mobile Platform Server using the
Management Cockpit.
Downloading the Xcode IDE
Download and install Xcode from the Apple Developers Web site.
- Go to http://developer.apple.com/downloads/.
Note: You must
be a paying member of the iOS Developer Program. Free members cannot
download the supported version.
- Log in using your Apple Developer credentials.
- (Optional) To narrow the search scope, unselect all Categories except Developer
Tools.
- Download the appropriate Xcode and SDK combination.
