Collaborating with MAF Extensibility Components

MAF Extensibility Framework follows the MVC (Model-View-Controller) pattern and offers extension points for applications, where they can interact with, decorate, or override the logic behind the components. On top of this, MAF Extensibility Framework has a separate data layer that is responsible for connecting the extensibility framework with the data.

• Data Layer
  MAF Extensibility Framework provides a data adapter interface called MAFDataSourceAdapter. This interface allows the framework to be completely independent from the data provider.
• Data Component
  The data component of MAF Extensibility Framework communicates with the data source via the MAFDataSourceAdapter interface.
• Logic Component
  The logic component provides data for the UI component and executes actions that are triggered by UI events.
• UI Component
  The UI Component handles interaction with the user and displays tiles according to the MAF Extensibility layout configuration.
• Activity Status
  MAFActivityState object is an MAF-specific object that provides access to the current Android activity instance.
