Setting Up the Development Environment

Complete the prerequisites for setting up the development environment and then develop an application for the Android device.

Prerequisites:

Download the Java Standard Edition (6 Update 24 and above versions) Development Kit (JDK) from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html.
Download the Android Developer Tool (ADT) Bundle from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html. With the single download of the ADT Bundle, you can get all the essential Android SDK components and Eclipse IDE installed.
