SAP Business Suite-to-SAP HANA Database Replication Setup

Implement a sample replication system from SAP Business Suite application running on Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or IBM DB2 UDB into SAP HANA database.

Note: If your primary and replicate databases are not already participating in replication using SAP® Replication Server®, use SAP Replication Management Agent Designer to setup the replication environment. See Replication Management Agent Configuration and Users Guide.

Use the tasks in this document to set up a proof-of-concept or test replication system.

The tasks use the sample Replication Server instance SAMPLE_RS. If you have already installed Replication Server, skip to the configuration procedures. The procedures to install and configure the replication components are the same as for other supported databases, except for the procedure to configure Replication Server.

System Architecture
Multiple components are required to implement an SAP Business Suite application data-to-SAP HANA database replication system: a primary data server, a replicate SAP HANA database, a Replication Server with ExpressConnect for SAP HANA Database, and Replication Agent for Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or IBM DB2 UDB.
Prerequisites

Planning Your Installation
To verify the system requirements, identify the installation directories, and obtain the installation software, refer to the section specific to the primary database for your SAP Business Suite application.
Downloading Products from SMP
