Log File Locations

Use a text editor to review log files from the command line using a text editor if SAP Control Center is not available, or to concentrate your review to a particular log.

Relay server and RSOE

Default log details:

%temp%\ias_relay_server_host.log

%temp% is the Windows environment variable, for example, C:\WINDOWS\Temp.

Note: In the case of IIS Web servers, the log file is C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles. However, this location can be configurable in IIS Manager.

RSOE log files, by default:

SMP_HOME\Servers\UnwiredServer\logs\<nodeName>.RSOE<n>.log

For example: RBShost1.RSOE4.log.

Domain In the domain log database; viewable in SAP Control Center.
Cache database logs

By default, cache database errors are logged in the errorlog.txt file, located in SMP_HOME\Servers\UnwiredServer\logs.

For a data tier installation, there are three database server logs, by default located in SMP_HOME\Data\CDB (but may vary depending on the installation):
  • errorlog.txt – cache DB server log
  • clusterdb_errorlog.txt – cluster DB server log
  • monitordb_errorlog.txt – monitor and domainlog DB server log
SAP Mobile WorkSpace log In SAP Mobile WorkSpace, use the Windows >Show View > Other > Error Log view, or collect the log file from the Eclipse workspace directory at <workspace folder>/.metadata/.log file.
