Problem: In an environment with Relay Server and SAP Mobile Platform, Relay Server runs for a while and then crashes and requires a restart.
Explanation: Relay Server does not support IIS application pooling. This is documented in the Using Proxy Servers and Load Balancers section in Landscape Design and Integration.
Solution: Check the Relay Server log for a message similar to the following: 'Redundant outbound enabler connection for backend server 'S0' in backend farm 'farm' was ignored.'
Also, check the Windows System Event Viewer for a warning on the Application Pool of the Relay Server.
Turn off application pooling for Relay Server in IIS, and stop and restart IIS.
