EIS and Cache Consistency

Cache data is updated with EIS changes based on the the policy of the cache group.

Cache groups are made up of MBOs that have the same data consistency requirements. Each cache group has a policy that determines how cache data for the MBOs in that group is updated. Cache group policies can use the following methods to update cache data:.

• DCNs – update cache data whenever there are data changes on the EIS server. Cache group policies that use DCNs provide a high level of data consistency for time-sensitive data.

• Cache refreshes – update cache data with the most recent enterprise information, either on demand or at scheduled intervals. Data consistency is limited to the refresh interval.
