Defining Applications

Applications are recognized by SAP Mobile Server by the properties that define them. Administrators define applications with a unique application ID and other key application properties, such as domain, packages, security configuration, and connection templates.

• Creating Object API Application Definitions
  Create an Object API application definition by providing general application properties such as the application ID, description, security configuration, and domain details, and assigning MBO packages.
• Creating Hybrid App Definitions
  Create a Hybrid App definition by providing general application properties such as the application ID, description, security configuration and domain details, and assigning MBO and Hybrid App packages.
• Creating REST API Application Definitions
  Create a REST API application definition by providing general application properties such as the application ID, description, security configuration and domain details, and defining the application and push endpoint.
• Creating OData Application Definitions
  Create an an OData application definition by providing general application properties such as the application ID, description, security configuration and domain details, and defining the application and push endpoint.
• Creating Agentry Application Definitions
  Create an Agentry application definition by providing general application properties such as the application ID, description, security configuration and domain details. You can also deploy the application file to the SAP Mobile Server.
• Native Notification Properties
  (Not applicable to Agentry applications) The SAP Mobile Server HTTP listener provides a notification interface through which delivery of both native notifications and payload push notifications is configured for a connection. Configure each set of properties accordingly.
• Application Customization Resource Bundles
  (Does not apply to Hybrid App or Agentry SDK clients) For supported application types, customization resource bundles enable you to associate deployed client applications with different versions of customization resources.
