If you purchased Afaria, you can open the
Afaria Web
interface administration console to manage Afaria resources directly from
Sybase Control Center.
This makes
Afaria a managed resource of
Sybase Control Center,
and allows you launch and use Afaria
remotely.
Prerequisites
Ensure the Afaria Server is running by checking the Windows Services. You cannot open the Afaria Administration console unless this server is running.
Task- From the
Sybase Control Center
menu, click Resource >
Register.
- Configure the Resource Type and Connection Information properties.
For example,
to install
Sybase Control Center
and Afaria Server on the same
host,
use
these

Otherwise, use the values for the host of the Afaria
Server.
The
Afaria server is added to the Perspective Resources
list,
and takes the display name you configured for it.
- In the Perspective Resources window, right-click the Afaria Server you want to display the administration console for and select Manage.
