Running the Sample Queries

Run the sample queries using interactive SQL utilities.

TAQ data queries run on the in-memory and historical databases. Interday and Historical market data queries are optimized to run on the historical database. You can run the TAQ query scripts against the in-memory database, and the Interday and Historical market data query scripts against the historical database using an interactive SQL utility: hdbsql for the SAP HANA database, isql for the Adaptive Server database, and dbisql for the Sybase IQ database.

  Use Interactive SQL (hdbsql or isql) to run the TAQ data query scripts on your in-memory database.
• Using Interactive SQL for the Historical Database
  Use Interactive SQL (dbisql) to run the TAQ, Interday, and Historical market data query scripts on your historical database.
• dbisqlc versus dbisql
  RAP includes dbisqlc and dbisql, but Sybase recommends that you use dbisql to run queries on the historical database.
