Database Servers

Replication Agent for Oracle supports only the Oracle database server.

Note: The Oracle versions that are required and supported by Replication Agent for Oracle are listed in the Replication Server Option for Oracle 15.7.1 ESD #2 Release Bulletin.

Replication Agent for Oracle must be installed on the same kind of UNIX or Microsoft Windows host as the primary Oracle data server. Direct access to the Oracle logs is necessary if pdb_archive_remove is true and rman_enabled is false. See the Replication Agent for Oracle Reference Manual.

In your Sybase Replication Agent system environment, verify that the:

Primary data server and primary database are online and configured properly for your production systems. See the documentation provided by your database software vendor.
Replication Server is installed, configured, and running. See the Replication Server installation and configuration guides for your platform.
