Installing the Data Tier

This installation scenario locates Unwired Platform data tier components on a separate host from Unwired Server. It is suitable for a typical production system, allowing support for high availability (i.e., failover) of common data tier resources shared by multiple Unwired Server instances.

1. Preparing for Installation
   Ensure that the host on which you are installing Sybase Unwired Platform is ready for you to begin the installation.
2. Entering License Information
   Start the Sybase Unwired Platform Runtime installer and enter license information.
3. Selecting Installation Options
   Specify the installation directory, installation type, Unwired Platform components, and additional installation options.
4. Completing the Installation
   Review the installation summary and launch the installation process.
5. Verifying the Installation
   When you have completed the installation, verify that the installation was successful before proceeding.
