Cluster Enhancements

In ESP 5.1 SP04, enhancements to the cluster include new encryption options, the ability to specify separate administrative and RPC ports, and the ability to log security audit events.

• Encryption in the Cluster
  During installation, SAP Sybase Event Stream Processor generates encryption keys and uses them to encrypt secure sockets layer (SSL) files, passwords in the cluster node configuration file, and the keystore password in the web services provider configuration file. Use the new esp_encrypt utility and the encryption keys to encrypt or re-encrypt files and values in the cluster.
• Separate Admin and RPC Ports for Cluster Configuration
  When you configure a cluster, you have the option of specifying an Admin Port and Host that are separate from the RPC Port and Host.
• Logging Security Audit Events
  In the cluster node log configuration file, a special logger is available to which significant security audit events are logged. Specifying an appender for this logger allows these events to be written to a separate log file.
