Bindings on Input and Output Streams, Delta Streams, and Windows

SAP Sybase Event Stream Processor 5.1 SP04 introduces enhancements to the binding functionality, allowing you to connect streams, delta streams, and windows across projects.

Bindings now support:

An input stream, delta stream, or window subscribing to multiple streams, delta streams, or windows in other projects. (Configure one binding for each remote stream, delta stream, or window providing data.)
An output stream, delta stream, or window publishing to multiple input streams, delta streams, or windows in other projects. (Configure one binding for each remote stream, delta stream, or window receiving data.)
An input stream, delta stream, or window providing data to another input stream, delta stream, or window. (Configure the binding from either the sending or the receiving end.)
A set of guaranteed delivery (GD) options for input and output bindings on windows that are running in GD mode or GD mode with checkpoint. GD ensures that if the connection between the binding and the remote stream is severed (by shutting down the project that contains the local stream, for example), all transactions that are supposed to be transmitted through the binding during its downtime are processed once the connection is re-established.
A reconnection interval option (<ReconnectInterval> in the CCR file) that lets you control whether and how frequently your project tries to reconnect if its connection fails to a remote project with which it shares bindings.

As part of these enhancements, two adapters that were formerly used to create bindings have been removed from Event Stream Processor:

Platform Input (platform_in)
Platform Output (platform_out)
