Send a subscription request to the adapter, and see a stream record from Event Stream Processor in a Web browser.
Prerequisites
- Install a Web server (port default is 80), Flash policy server (default is 843), and a Web browser with the Flash plug-in.
- Sybase recommends that the Web server and the policy server run on the same
machine on which the adapter is installed.
- If the Web server and policy server are running on a different machine than the one
on which the adapter is installed, ensure the ports listed above are open for TCP
connections from the machine where the Web browser is running.
- Copy the example.swf file from the adapter example directory to the content area of
the Web server.
- The Flex Server port default is 23456.
- The Web
browser can be used on the same machine or on a different machine.
Task- Edit the adapter.sh script.
- Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to the directory where
the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is installed.
- Start Event Stream Processor.
