If you lose administrative access rights to Sybase Event Stream Processor, there are
manual steps you can take to recover them.
Most cases of lost administrative access are a result of configuration changes to your
LDAP server or your policy.xml file.
To restore your administrative access rights: In the unlikely event that you need to recover
administrative access, manually shut down the Sybase Event Stream Processor server
through the host machine's operating system
- With machine-level administrator rights, log in to the machine running the Event
Stream Processor server.
- Using operating system controls, force the Event Stream Processor server to shut
down.
- Manually change your configuration settings as necessary:
- Modify your LDAP configuration. For example, if the current LDAP server is
unresponsive, modify the URL in the csi_ldap.xml file to
point to a replica LDAP server.
- Modify your Kerberos configuration.
- Modify the policy.xml file.
- Restart the server.
Your administrative rights to Sybase Event Stream Processor are
restored.
