Building a BlackBerry Application Using the Object API

Generate code to build a device application that runs on RIM BlackBerry devices.

  1. Create a Mobile Application Project.
  2. Develop the mobile business objects to which your code will refer.
  3. Deploy the mobile application project to Unwired Server.
  4. Use the Code Generation wizard to generate object API code using Java as the language and Java ME for BlackBerry as the platform.
  5. Create the BlackBerry JDE project that will contain the generated object API code and customized UI code.
  6. From the eclipse\plugins\com.sybase.uep.bob.rim\generate\blackberry directory, copy the UltraLiteJ.cod and UltraLite.alx files to the Simulator directory.
