Configuring Control Properties

Use the Properties page of any control to configure control properties.

1. In the Screen Design page, select the control for which to configure the properties, right-click, and select Show Properties View.
   The configurable properties for the selected control display in the Properties view.
2. Click the Definition tab to define properties for the control.
3. (Optional) Click the Platform-specific tab to configure platform-specific properties.
4. (Optional) Click the Coding tab to assign an event to the control. This tab appears only for controls that support events.
5. Configure the properties for the control and select File > Save.

• Properties View for Controls
  Each control has a Properties view where you can view and configure properties for the control.
• Label Properties
  Use the Label control to display text on the device screen.
• Edit Box Properties
  Use the Edit Box control to input text and assign values to strings, dates, decimals, integers, and so on.
• Hyperlink Properties
  Use the hyperlink control to attach to an action for screen transitions.
• Checkbox Properties
  Use the checkbox control to assign or display Boolean values.
• Radio Button Properties
  Use the Properties page for radio button to edit the attributes for the radio button.
• List Item Control Properties
  Use the Properties page for the List Item control to configure attributes for the list item.
• Choice Properties
  Use the Choice control to display a collection of items as a drop-down list.
• Button Control Properties
  Use the button control Properties page to configure button appearance on the device screen.
• Image Control Properties
  Use the Image Properties page to configure the properties for the image widget.
• Spacer Properties
  Use the Properties page for the spacer control to configure the spacer attributes.
• Separator Properties
  Use the Properties page for the separator control to configure the separator attributes.
• Grid Table Properties
  Use the Properties page for the grid table control to configure the appearance of the grid table.
• List Detail Properties
  Use the list detail Properties page to configure the list detail attributes.
• Toolbar Item Properties
  Use the Properties page to configure the appearance of the toolbar item.
• Selecting the Data Type for Controls
  Use the Properties view to select the data type for the control.
• Setting the Logical Type for Controls
  Use the Properties view for the selected control to set the logical type.
• Configuring Cells Properties
  Use the Properties page of the cell item (cell table, cell label, cell image) to configure its properties.
