Problem: When authenticating an IQ resource or the
SCC agent, the connection is refused and authentication
fails.
This error message appears when the SCC server cannot
establish a connection to the IQ resource host using the expected connection
information. Authenticating an IQ resource requires the host and port of the managed
resource. Authenticating an SCC agent requires the
host and port of the agent.
Solution for IQ Managed Resources:
- Verify that the resource is running. If the resource is not running, start
it outside of SCC.
Note: The
SCC
Start Server function is unavailable on
unauthenticated resources.
- If the resource is running, verify that the host and port for the resource
are correct.
- In the Perspective Resource view, highlight the resource and click .
- Correct the connection information as needed.
Solution for the SCC Agent:
- Verify that the SCC agent is running on the
host of the IQ managed resource. If the agent is not running, start it.
- If the agent is running, verify that the host and port for the agent are
correct.
Simplex:
- In the Administration Console, highlight IQ
Servers.
- In the right pane, highlight the resource and select .
- Correct the connection information as needed.
Multiplex:
- In the Administration Console, expand and select .
- In the right pane, highlight the resource and select .
- Correct the connection information as needed.
