Register and authenticate the SAP Control Center
agent for a managed server.
The SAP Control Center agent runs on a managed server and
enables SAP Control Center to manage it. The SCC agent is installed
automatically as part of the SAP Sybase IQ server.
To perform certain administrative tasks, including starting and stopping an
SAP Sybase IQ server, syncing the server, and
adding secondary nodes, you must register and authenticate the server’s SCC agent.
- In the Perspective Resources view, select the resource, and
select .
- In the left pane of the Administration Console, do either:
- For a simplex resource, select IQ
Servers.
- For a multiplex resource, expand , and select Multiplex Servers.
- Select the IQ server to be registered from the right pane and either:
- Click the arrow to the right of the name and select Register
Agent, or
- From the Administration Console menu bar, select
The Register SCC Agent wizard appears.
- Enter the IQ server host name and agent port (the default port is 9999) and click OK.
- Select the IQ server resource to be authenticated from the right pane and either:
- Click the arrow to the right of the name and select Authenticate
Agent, or
- From the Administration Console menu bar, select
The Authenticate SCC Agent wizard appears.
Note: The Authenticate
Agent option is unavailable if the resource has not been
successfully registered.
- Depending on your database version, do one of the following:
- For 15.x - Enter the SAP Control Center
agent user (the default is uafadmin) and
password (by default, there is no password—leave the field blank).
- For 16.0 - Enter the SAP Control Center
agent user (the default is uafadmin) and
password (created during the installation process).
