Restore a
      database backup and its transaction log from a cumulative backup, in which only the changes
      since the last full database dump are backed up. 
Prerequisites
Decide whether to load the backup into a new database with the
            
for load option, or into a preexisting
         database.
Task
You cannot load a database backup that was created on a different operating system, or with an earlier version of Adaptive Server.
- In the left pane of the Administration Console, expand .
- Select one of: 
               - User Databases
- System Databases
- Archive Databases
- In-Memory Databases
 The Restore wizard is unavailable if you choose: - Temporary Databases
- Proxy Databases
- In-Memory Temporary Databases
 
 
- Right-click the Name field of the database you want to
               back up.
- Click the arrow and select Restore to
               start the Restore Database wizard.
- In the wizard's Introduction screen, choose Default.
- In the Type of Restore screen, choose Cumulative
               restore.
- In the Dump Devices screen, specify the dump stripes from the list. To add dump
               devices for the dump operation, click Add:
- (Optional) In the Options screen, if you used a password during the backup process,
               enter this password. 
               Click Bring the database online to bring the database
                  online after the restoration is complete. By default, this option is not
                  selected. 
 
- (Optional) Click Summary to verify your selected options.
- (Optional) Click
                        Preview to view the SQL statement you generated with
                    your settings. To save a copy of the SQL statement, click
                        Save.
- Click Finish to start the restore process.  Sybase Control Center displays restore messages from the Adaptive Server.
