Installing X.509 Certificates on BlackBerry Simulators and Devices

Install the .p12 certificate on the BlackBerry device or simulator and select it during authentication.

1. Install the certificate on a device:
   1. Connect to the device with a USB cable.
   2. Browse to the SD Card folder on the computer to which the device is connected.
   3. Navigate to and select the certificate. Enter the password.
   4. Import the certificate.
   You can also use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to intstall the certificate on the device, but you may need to perform a custom installation to access the Synchronize Certificates option.
2. Install the certificate on a simulator:
   1. From the simulator, select Simulate > Change SD Card.
   2. Add/or select the directory that contains the certificate.
   3. Open the media application on the device, and select Menu > Application > Files > MyFile > MediaCard.
   4. Navigate to and select the certificate. Enter the password.
   5. Check the certificate and select Menu > Import Certificate. Click Import Certificate then enter the data vault password.
