Cannot Access Sample Database After Switching Network Types

The "My Sample Database" connection profile, by default, uses 'localhost' as the hostname. But if you change it to the real hostname, then when you switch network types, the host may not be recognized. For example, moving a laptop from an office ethernet to an WiFi connection outside the company's firewall may prevent access to the database even if it is on the same machine as Sybase Unwired WorkSpace.

Solution: In Sybase Unwired WorkSpace, modify the connection profile host property to indicate localhost as the Host. To verify the connection is working, click Test Connection to ping the database. You may also have to redeploy any projects that access an Unwired Server SQL Anywhere database connection pool and reestablish the Unwired Server connection to the database by modifying the same property from hostname to localhost.
