Problem: After creating an SAP connection profile, an error is generated when you try to either connect to or ping SAP.
Solution: You may be missing required .DLL files. Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 must have the msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll in the Windows system directory for SAP to work correctly with Sybase Unwired Platform. Download these .DLL files from the SAP Web site at http://service.sap.com/connectors and place them in your Windows system directory.
For the production environment, see System Administration > Component Deployment > EIS Connections > Preparing Unwired Server to Connect to SAP using Java Connectors
For the development environment, see Sybase Unwired WorkSpace - Mobile Business Object Development > Configure > Configure - Eclipse Development Environment > Creating a Data Source Connection Profile > Creating an SAP Connection Profile > SAP Java Connector (JCo) Prerequisites.
