OpenDS Is Not Uninstalled

After uninstalling Sybase Unwired Platform, the OpenDS Windows service is not removed.

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services and look for the OpenDS service. If the OpenDS service is there, do one of the following:

Reinstall Sybase Unwired Platform into the same folder as previously installed. This overwrites the existing OpenDS service instead of installing a second OpenDS service.
Immediately after uninstalling, reinstall Sybase Unwired Platform to the same folder and install only the server component. Then perform the uninstallation again.

If the OpenDS service is not removed during the uninstallation, and you do not follow one of the above procedures, a second OpenDS service (OpenDS-2) is installed when you reinstall Sybase Unwired Platform. The OpenDS-2 service may fail to start, causing authentication to fail.
