Documentation Set Changes

Describes changes to the documentation set.

Installation Guide has been reorganized

The Installation Guide has been reorganized and streamlined:
  • Separate instructions for Enterprise Edition and Enterprise Developer Edition are no longer necessary.
  • A smaller number of installation scenarios now covers the same customer installation requirements.
  • Installation prerequisites are integrated into installation steps, to ensure that the prerequisites are not skipped.

System Administration enhancements

The System Administration guide has been enhanced:
  • New subjects appear at the chapter level to make them more visible and accessible.
  • Additional performance tuning content is provided. Information and recommendations are given for the synchronization type used in production environments.
  • Deployment planning and component deployment now appear at the start of the guide to help administrators access actionable content more quickly.

Document name changes

Several documents have been renamed to better reflect their contents.

White papers, projects, and other collateral have moved from the Use tab on the Sybase Unwired Platform Web site, to the SAP Developer Network Web site: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/mobile. Click on Sybase Unwired Platform, and navigate to one of the information categories.

The SDN provides many resources for the development community. Check the site regularly for new and updated white papers, projects, and other resources.

Samples and tutorials moved to a new site
